Abu Dhabi-UAE Short-Listed Design The designer Khalel wrote this poetry to describe the design philosophy: The bases of knowledge are a book and a pen ----- With Knowledge people advance & flourish Allah commenced his commands with “READ” ---- To be a guide and light for efforts Our ancestors’ hands have inscribed ---- Poems on the bold rocks Words that have lit in our path --- Rays of knowledge that overcome all darkness Its letters have heavily fallen ---- Nurturing plants, monuments, and morality We have converted each letter into a tool - -- That build sustainable rising monuments Design by Khalel Asmail while at 3G-CONTECTS “The Book and The Pen” are combined to establish the main project concept. Two Books, closed represents the knowledge of teachers where the other is open to represent the students that are ready to receive the knowledge. 6 typical schools 3,000 Student each 42 ,000 Sq. M. The concept philosophy inspired by Children’s nature and favorite environment with freedom of movement and energy. The child’s nature attracted to odd shapes flow with their energy and curiosity. The Pentagon (five-sides shapes) forms the project spaces and massing aggregated similarly to LEGO to give the impression to the child that he forms his world on his way.
